After my cousin Marcy’s wedding, I asked my mother what she’d like to do. She said “Let’s take a drive through Manhattan”
It was a lovely serene Sunday afternoon. We stopped in Jersey City to view the Lower Manhattan skyline, where I took this photo and video.

Memory is a funny thing. I knew exactly when I took the video of the World Trade Center on 2 Sep 2001.
We were actually at the World Trade Center Tower 2 (South Tower) on Tue 4 Sep 2001 (Carol went in to buy theater tickets at TKTS while I double parked outside).
It wasn’t until I saw the last episode of Rescue Me last night (7 Sep 2011) that I remembered that we stopped off at the Brooklyn Tower of the Brooklyn Bridge that morning.
Taken 4 Sep 2001 at 7:41 am … almost exactly a week before the world changed.
My mother Adele died a few years later. We flew into NYC on 9/11 and saw the two towers of blue lights as we landed.
We will never forget.
